USCIS had issued a Direct Filing Update which stated that if the application was filed after July 30, it would have to be filed at the center which has jurisdiction over the state the applicant lives in, which in your case is Massachusetts.
USCIS has been transfering a lot of applications between the various service centers lately due to the July fiasco. Based on reports from the Ombudsman, USCIS is trying to avoid any unnecessary rejections, and take a more 'customer service' based approach, so hopefully you will be ok, and they'll just transfer the case to the appropriate service center.
I'm not a lawyer by any means, so please use this advice at your own discretion.

As long as you have money and Good Credit, you should get Mortgage. I did it on EAD last year and they did came back and ask for H1B. Fortunately me and my wife both had valid H1bs and they approved the loan. I guess the problem stems from the fact that very few loan officers understand immigration.
But I can assure you if you fight with them you can get it. I didn't had H1b visa stamp in my passport and I gave them I94 and it worked after making them understand. They cannot discriminate against you because you are an immigrant.(even though they do on back end without us knowing :()
Also make sure that loan payments are not more than 42% of both of your Total Gross Salaries. They may deny your loan in that case.
Loans are getting harder to get day by day even with Good Credit.

Thanks for the quick reply. For your answer to Question2.. my employer and some suggests not to file Ac21. just for the record sake i would send them a note that i would come back to the sponsoring company.
Do you think it is an option not to file Ac21 and still manage ? or will there be any issues for not filing ? any way i have to go back to the sponsor when its time...
If u dont file CA21 , just make sure , u dont leave and re-enter usa.
U may expect trouble at the airport.

My 140 was approved in 2007 and today I got a text message on phone that my application is sent to Nebraska, NE to review and status changed from Approved to Initial review.
Had any one been in same situation or had seen this before with some one else?
Two years after my I-140 was approved, status changed to below. My attorney filed my I-140 choosing CP. CP applications are processed at DOS. As I applied for I-485 in July'07 DOS sent it back to USCIS. Your case looks different. Well I have heard of instances where USCIS reviews approved applications I hope your case is a simple computer glitch. I-140 is employers application so you cannot contact customer service or IO regarding that. Ask your attorney or employer to contact USCIS.
Your priority date is current for more than 6 months now. Did you take any steps to expedite (congressman, senator or writ of mandamus)?

On March 20, 2008, a USCIS office received this case from the State Department with a request that we review it. We will notify you when we complete our review, or if we need something from you. There is place in the I-9 , Alien Authorized to work unitll, you need to provide the H1 information instead of the EAD information. Also instead of Alien#, you need to provide Admissible # which is on I-94 of new H1B. When some one submit I-9 form you need to show the Passport and you H1B copy. That way you are sure that you are using H1B.
You are absolutely correct. But say, I have EAD, want to use it from next month, October. How do you do, even though your H1 is valid till, say, july 2011? That's the question.

Smerchas...Are you sure about what this? From what I remember, you have to be in the country when you apply for your AP...But there is no necessity that you need to be here when it is approved !
Technically, you can ask your attorney or the person who is living at the address where the AP document would be sent by the USCIS, and request them to forward the approved AP to your then current address...That way, you don't have to stay in the country while USCIS processes your application...
Ofcourse, the flip side is, if your AP is denied for any reason, you would have to go to the US consulate in wherever country you are and request the special admission letter...

hey all i can't find where to post a new thread so hopefully I can hijack this quick.
I called the USCIS number for info but can't speak to an operator.
My wife is planning on traveling to hawaii in december. She will have her drivers license by then. She has her I-485, I-130, I-765 and some other M109109 (whatever that is).
she wants to know if its ok for her to travel to hawaii (from florida). it's in the united states so i can't imagine there being an issue. she will be traveling to ohio later that month and to me its the same thing. I'm just trying to get the opinion from someone who would know for sure.
